Monterey has it all! — great food, great SCUBA diving (cold, but every square inch teeming with sea-life), great disc golf (Ryan Ranch; CSUMB 36 basket course — trust me on this…) kayaking, sailing, mountain biking, and topped off by Junipera Serra Peak — at 5826′, higher than Denver, occasionally topped with snow, and 17 miles (as the crow flies) from the ocean. Oh, and good wine, too!
