I have not been to any of these wineries but would love to!! I am in the process of planning a trip to Carmel and Monterey for my 30th wedding anniversary. The two passports would be a lovely addition to our celebration!! :)

My new favorite is Galante Winery in Carmel. I love the Blackjack Cabernet and many of their other wines like the Rose Hill Cab. The tasting room had a fun and friendly staff. It has a great rustic feel in the middle of downtown Carmel. It is even a little hidden behind a gallery which makes it even more charming. When we visited the tasting room it was great to see the owner Jack Galante just hanging out and talking to customers. We didn’t buy a bottle that day but they treat you like your their best customer. We will be back.

We visit every year, and a new favorite is Caraccioli Cellars. Also, Boekenoogen in Carmel Valley.

My favorite tasting rooms just to name a few; Pessango, Marilyn Remark, Pierce Ranch, and Taste Morgan.

My favorite tasting room is Taste of Monterey. The view is beautiful, and having the selection of all Monterey County wines is great! Being in their wine club is the best! When going down River Road, a must is Hahn Winery for their fantastic wine and gorgeous view of the vineyards and valley! Also love Pessagno on River Road. They have a great Chadonney, and the guys working there are so much fun! Love their tasting set up. I could go on and on about Monterey County’s exceptional wine and lovely tasting rooms!

I would love to visit A Taste of Monterey wine tasting room! With more than 85 wineries to choose from while enjoying the great scenic view, I can’t think of a better place to unwind in!

I love Constance wine room in Carmel! They have the most educated & friendly employees, carry lots of great local wines (like Otter Cove) yet will also surprise you with some unique and exotic finds.

I am going to Carmel in a few weeks for the first time with my husband to celebrate his birthday. What a great gift this would be! I am especially excited to try Taste of Monterey, but seems like there are quite a few on our list. :)

I would suggest anyone heading to Monterey visit the Taste of Monterey (http://www.atasteofmonterey.com) wine bar/restaurant. They have a huge selection of local Monterey wines and it’s nice that the prices are on average cheaper than they are in Napa/Sonoma. I’m a big fan of the Hahn and Garnet Monterey Pinot, and there are some excellent higher end ones to try as well.
