Head over to the Golden Bough Theatre in Carmel-by-the-Sea and check out a performance of The 39 Steps. This entertaining spy adventure will have you sitting on the edge of your seat! Thursday-Saturday at 7:30pm and Sunday at 2pm, Casanova Street at Eighth Avenue, Carmel-by-the-Sea. $7-$35.
Take to the trails this morning with guides from the Monterey Peninsula Regional Parks District. Today hikers will take the Waterfall and Sky Trails while enjoying beautiful views of Maple Canyon and Mesa Pond. This 3.5 mile hike is expected to last 2.5 hours. Don’t forget to bring good hiking shoes, water and snacks. 9am, Garland Visitors Center. Free event.
The Pacific Grove Museum of Natural History takes a close look at the weather today during Science Saturday. Kiddos will love the hands-on activities centered around the unique climate on the central coast. 11am-3pm, 165 Forest Avenue, Pacific Grove. Free event.
The Monterey Bay Aquarium stays open past its bedtime for Evenings by the Bay. This unique event allows visitors to stroll through the exhibits while enjoying live music and special programs. 6pm-8pm, 886 Cannery Row, Monterey. Free with aquarium admission.
The Babes of Wrath take on the Cannery Rollers during tonight’s Monterey Bay Derby Dames bout. Marina’s Water City Sports Center will be full of fierce competition and excitement. Doors open at 6:30pm and bout begins at 7:30pm, 2800 Second Avenue, Marina. $15.
