Calling the ranger station to get a heads up on how the flowers are coming along has been an annual ritual for my family. On the week of hot events for this weekend, you have four of the county's early ecology-economy leaders from the HER Helmet Thursdays project: The Spa at Bernardus Lodge, Bullwacker's, the National Steinbeck Center, and Jose's Lounge Underground. Have fun cycling to these great places for your weekend fun, even though it won't result in the Thursday discount to cyclists.
