Every step Google takes to make their Map/Directions via bicycle better is welcomed and appreciated. The Google system, being new, does often inadvertently misguide its users, so visitors unfamiliar to any area may want to check another resource too. Here’s one example: as of today, Google indicates it’s 15 miles from Will’s Fargo in Carmel Valley Village to Cafe Rustica, also in the Village…hmmm….and you get there via Tassajara Road (not and not!).

A note to all cyclists: Please help Google keep improving their wonderful new tool by adding tried-and-true tips contributed by cyclists who’ve been there.
